GENERAL INFORMATION

The aim of the course is to provide a basis for improved standards of basic semen analysis. It is a strong recommendation that each laboratory is represented both by a person with medical responsibility and by a person with responsibility for the practical laboratory work.

The course complies with the WHO (v6) semen analysis standards and is organised by University Medical Centre in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Maribor.

Contents: Workshop consists of theoretical lessons covering male infertility from etiology to diagnostics and treatment from the physicians point of view, followed by theoretical lessons about laboratory practice. Practical session will be held on microscope with hands on training of the basic semen analysis techniques according to WHO manual version 6.

Course fee: 120EUR + VAT

Fee includes lectures, printed handouts of presentations, practical exercises, lunch and breaks. The WHO laboratory manual and other books are not included.
